Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage help desk tickets and provide end-user technical support
- Offer technical support for desktop computers and peripherals, including installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair in a networked environment
- Assess the feasibility of equipment repair or replacement, and take necessary action
- Maintain Mobile Device Management endpoints and software
- Troubleshoot issues with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and remote connection systems
- Manage Active Directory, including users, groups, computers, and organizational units at intermediate to advanced levels
- Set up office workstations, including PCs and printers, and support large-scale deployments involving unboxing, cabling, and initializing new technology equipment
- Collaborate with IT teams on the development, maintenance, testing, and execution of backup and disaster recovery plans
- Assist with inventory management and client equipment forecasting
- Coordinate with clients to maintain and service network hardware, software, audio/video, facilities, and telecommunications
- Document and maintain client technical systems files
- Participate in rollouts, migrations, and upgrades
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Associate degree or relevant work experience in lieu of education
- Two (2) years of related experience; may substitute required experience with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum requirement
Requirements:
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work with staff at all levels
- Strong knowledge of personal computers, particularly Microsoft products, and TCP/IP network functionality
- Valid drivers license
- Clean drug screen and criminal background check.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Formal education in Information Technology or a related field
- Experience in Education, Government, and Managed Services sectors is highly desirable
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift 40 pounds and/or move boxes and equipment as needed
- Occasionally required to transfer equipment between locations
- Regular kneeling, crouching, climbing, walking, sitting, twisting, and reaching to perform essential functions with in-place equipment
