IT Strategy & vCIO
A vCIO is a virtual Chief Information Officer: someone responsible for where your technology is going, not just whether it worked today. Copperband delivers that as technology business reviews, lifecycle planning, budgets, and recommendations you decide on.
Working Today Is Not a Plan
Most businesses can tell when technology is broken. Fewer can say what next year should cost, which equipment is quietly aging toward failure, or which risks were decided on purpose and which were never discussed. When nobody owns those questions, they answer themselves: replacements become emergencies, budgets become guesses, and risks get discovered instead of chosen.
vCIO work gives those questions an owner.
What the Work Produces
- Technology business reviews. Scheduled working sessions: what happened, what changed, what is aging, and what needs a decision. The report exists to support the conversation, not to replace it.
- A lifecycle read on your equipment. Workstations enter the replacement conversation around five years, servers around six. You see what is healthy, what is aging, and what is entering the replacement window while it is still a budget line instead of an emergency.
- A budget and a roadmap. Replacements and projects spread across budget years with real numbers attached, so they can be planned over time instead of arriving all at once.
- Decisions that stay visible. We bring the option, the reason, and the cost. You accept it, decline it, or defer it, and important decisions stay visible so they can be revisited when circumstances change.
Advisory, On Purpose
The role is advisory: recommendations are based on what fits your environment, and you decide what moves forward and when.
Part of every review is alignment: you should know exactly what Copperband is monitoring, backing up, and managing, what remains outside our scope, and which decisions still need to be made.
Part of the Relationship
vCIO works best as part of an ongoing relationship with Copperband because the planning is grounded in the same tickets, equipment, documentation, and history our technicians work with every day.
Strategy With a Local Address
Copperband has staffed offices in Clarksville and Nashville and has served businesses from Hopkinsville across Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky since 2016.
