What We Pull and Test

Copper for the everyday network: Cat6 and Cat6A drops, terminated and labeled so the next person to open the closet can tell what goes where. Fiber where distance or speed calls for it.

Racks and network closets are part of the work. We mount equipment properly, manage the cable into it, and clean up closets that have collected years of undocumented wiring.

Every run gets toned and tested before we call it done. Two years later, the person troubleshooting it should be able to tell where it goes and know the physical connection was tested.

The Wall Side of the Network

Cabling is the part of the network that lives in the walls, ceilings, and network closet.

Phones, wireless access points, conference rooms, and other connected equipment all depend on that physical infrastructure. Planning those runs around what will actually use them makes troubleshooting, changes, and future additions much easier.

New Walls and Old Buildings

The two jobs are different, and we do both.

In new construction, we work alongside the contractors while the walls are open: pathways planned, conduit used well, and drops placed where the equipment and furniture will actually be.

In existing buildings, the work is additions, relocations, and cleanup: new drops for a growing office, cable moved because the space changed, and closets cleaned up so the infrastructure can be traced, changed, and serviced later.

How Cabling Work Is Scoped

Cabling is quoted as a project, and the quote follows the building: how many drops, the distances involved, ceilings and pathways, new construction or retrofit, and the testing at the end.

The cabling is planned around the network and equipment it will support, not as a separate construction task somebody has to make sense of later.

The Building Is the Job Site

Copperband runs cabling projects throughout Hopkinsville, Clarksville, Nashville, Middle Tennessee, and Southern Kentucky.

The work happens in walls, above ceilings, and inside network closets. When cable has to get from one part of a building to another, our technicians are onsite doing the physical work.
