Best of Clarksville 2026: Best Cyber Security and Tech Service Provider

Best of Clarksville turned thirty on Thursday, October 1, 2026, and Copperband went home with a plaque: Best Cyber Security/Tech Service Provider Company.

The event has been running since 1996. Nominations open to the public in July, the top five in each category move on as finalists, and on the first Thursday in October the finalists set up booths in the Governor’s Square Mall parking lot. There were more than a hundred categories this year, everything from barbers to bail bonds, and the final vote is cast in person by people who bought a ticket and showed up. Winners are announced the same night.

We like that format. An online poll rewards whoever has the biggest email list. This one rewards whoever people were willing to walk up to and talk to, and in a town where most of our work comes from one business recommending us to another, that is the right test.

Our booth was the standard setup: mugs, stickers, a tablecloth that was mostly logo, and a sign for the free in-office cybersecurity training we run for local businesses. The offer stands. If your staff could use an hour on what phishing looks like in 2026 and what to do when something slips through, the details are on that page.

Samantha, Lisa, Kristin, Liz and Chris worked the booth from setup to the last vote. Chris co-owns the company and still ended up in a mugshot holding a sign that said dangerously attractive. It was that kind of night. Thanks to everyone who came by and voted.

It was also a fundraiser. Tickets were ten dollars in advance, fifteen at the gate, kids free, and every dollar went to three local nonprofits this year: the Montgomery County Angel Fund, F.U.E.L. Ministries, and the Armed Services YMCA at Fort Campbell. Thirty years of that adds up.

Best of Clarksville is held the first Thursday of October each year at Governor’s Square Mall, with all proceeds going to local nonprofits.
