Visit Hopkinsville Receives August 2026 Quality Service Award

Visit Hopkinsville received the August 2026 Quality Service Award, presented by the Christian County Chamber of Commerce on August 25, 2026, and sponsored by Copperband Technologies.
Outstanding service, dedication, and commitment to promoting and strengthening the Hopkinsville-Christian County community.
Visit Hopkinsville serves as the front door to the community, welcoming travelers and showcasing everything that makes Hopkinsville special. Its roots began within the Chamber of Commerce, and the opening of the dedicated Visitors Center at 1730 E. 9th Street marked the beginning of a new chapter.
Since then, Visit Hopkinsville has continued to shine a spotlight on the beauty, culture, history, and spirit of the community for visitors from near and far.
More than a visitors desk
The work goes well past handing out maps. Annual events like chili cook-offs, the batter bus, and Christian County Leadership group tours sit alongside pancake art and storytimes with the kids. The team is also a regular presence at events they do not sponsor at all, turning up for local businesses like Hopkinsville Brewing Company and the Book and Bottle, driving business and tourism even on their own time.

Starting new traditions
They also start things from scratch. GoblinCon, built around the Kelly-Hopkinsville encounter of August 21, 1955, is now in its second year and bigger than ever. It ran at the Bruce Convention Center on August 22 and 23, the weekend before this award was presented.
It is a good example of the job done well. A community’s own history, turned into a reason for people to drive in, spend a weekend, and find out what else is here.
The team behind it
Executive Director Amy Rogers leads the bureau. She joined Visit Hopkinsville five years ago as Finance and Operations Manager, and serving her hometown has been more than a career, promoting the community she grew up in and welcoming visitors through the doors of the organization she now leads.
Alongside her team of Ginnie Pruitt and Kashondra Chandler, she is dedicated to promoting all things Hopkinsville and creating meaningful experiences for visitors and residents alike. Visit Hopkinsville consistently strives to go above and beyond for their community and the people who call it home.
